What Easy 40 is
Easy 40 is a free discovery tool that helps Ontario high school students find volunteer opportunities and understand how to apply. Organizations run their own application, screening, supervision, attendance, and hour-documentation processes.
The honesty rule
Do not create a fake organization, publish a fake opportunity, impersonate another person, or use Easy 40 to mislead a school. Accounts and listings used for fraud can be removed. Hours entered in the private tracker are a personal planning tool and are not proof that volunteering happened.
What organizations agree to
The information an organization publishes on Easy 40 — including dates, duties, age rules, location, contact details, and application instructions — must be accurate. Organizations remain responsible for screening, accepting, supervising, and documenting their volunteers. Listings can be removed when information is false, unsafe, expired, or misleading.
Coordinator consent
If an organization adds a coordinator, staff member, or volunteer contact to its public profile, the organization confirms that person agreed to have the listed name, title, and contact information published. Adding someone without permission is a violation of these terms.
Legacy records
Easy 40 previously offered signed records for hours confirmed through the platform. Existing records remain available so previously issued documents do not suddenly stop working. Students can revoke a record they issued; its verify page will then show "Revoked". The current Easy 40 service does not promise a confirmed record for new opportunities.
What we promise (and do not)
We work to keep listings useful and current, but Easy 40 is provided as-is. A listing is not a promise that a spot is available, that an organization will accept you, that you will receive the listed hours, or that your school will approve the activity. Confirm details with the organization and check your school's requirements before you participate.
Your account
Keep your login to yourself. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us. See the privacy policy for what deletion does and does not remove.
Age
Easy 40 is designed for high school students, typically ages 13 and up. If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian before signing up. We collect only what is needed (see the privacy policy) and nothing is public unless you export and share it yourself.
